Job Summary

The PRT - SST Teacher is responsible for teaching Social Studies (Environmental Studies components related to History, Geography, Civics, and Community Life) to Grades III-V in accordance with the guidelines of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

The teacher will implement competency-based, experiential, and multidisciplinary teaching approaches aligned with the curriculum developed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020).

Key Responsibilities1. Curriculum Planning & Delivery

- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in History, Geography, Civics, and Social Life.
- Prepare Annual Plans, Unit Plans, and Daily Lesson Plans.
- Implement competency-based and inquiry-based learning strategies.
- Use maps, charts, models, storytelling, role-play, and project work.
- Integrate cross-curricular connections and real-life examples.

2. Assessment & Evaluation

- Design worksheets, quizzes, projects, and competency-based assessments.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments as per CBSE norms.
- Maintain student portfolios and progress records.
- Provide structured feedback to students and parents.
- Prepare report cards aligned with CBSE learning outcomes.

3. Classroom Management

- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Encourage participation, collaboration, and respectful discussion.
- Promote values such as citizenship, responsibility, and diversity awareness.

Co-curricular & School Engagement

- Organize activities related to national festivals, community awareness, and civic responsibility.
- Conduct map work activities, exhibitions, and project presentations.
- Support school assemblies, events, and inter-house competitions.
- Participate in training and career development programs.

5. Parent & Academic Coordination

- Attend PTMs and academic meetings.
- Communicate academic progress and behavioral development.
- Collaborate with colleagues for integrated lesson planning.

Eligibility Criteria

- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (History / Geography / Political Science / Sociology preferred)
- D.El.Ed. / B.Ed. (recognized by NCTE)
- CTET qualified (Paper I) as per CBSE norms
- Strong command of English (spoken & written)
- Basic ICT proficiency

Required Skills & Competencies

- Child-centered teaching approach.
- Ability to simplify abstract concepts for primary students.
- Classroom management skills.
- Creativity in using visual and experiential teaching aids.
- Awareness of NEP 2020 and competency-based education.

Experience

- 1-3 years of experience in a CBSE-affiliated school preferred.
- Freshers with CTET qualification may also apply.

Job Types : Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
