Responsibilities

Advance the Turso open-source database, especially its Postgres compatibility layer.

Maintain Turso Cloud operations, including the Cloud API and data-plane operations.

Improve the scalability of Turso Cloud to support 100 times more databases.

Build systems, guarantees, and testing practices that prevent regressions and ensure correctness.

Improve the observability, reliability, and performance of complex cloud systems.

Requirements

Experience writing databases or other high-stakes low-level systems such as hypervisors, operating system kernels, or storage devices.

Experience working with remote teams and open-source communities.

Experience with deterministic simulation testing, formal verification methods, fuzz testing, or differential testing.

Experience deploying, operating, and debugging large-scale software systems in cloud environments such as AWS and Kubernetes.





Comfort working in Rust and with embedded databases.

Comfort with LLM-assisted development and evaluations.

Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences and work effectively in ambiguous, quick-moving environments.
