Role Overview:We are looking for an experienced Python Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs. Pharma or Life Sciences domain experience is preferred.Key Responsibilities:- Develop backend applications and services using Python.- Build and maintain REST APIs using FastAPI, Django, or Flask.- Implement business logic and integrate with internal and third-party systems.- Design database schemas, write SQL queries, and optimize database performance.- Develop data-processing workflows and background jobs.- Implement authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.- Troubleshoot production issues and improve application performance and reliability.- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical documentation.- Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders.- Support application deployment and maintenance.Mandatory Skills:- 6 - 9 years of software development experience, with strong hands-on Python backend development.- Strong Python programming,



object-oriented design, data structures, and exception handling.- Experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask.- Hands-on experience developing REST APIs and backend services.- Robust SQL and relational database experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.- Experience integrating APIs, databases, and external services.- Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth2 and JWT.- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and Agile development.- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.Good-to-Have Skills:- Pharma / Life Sciences domain experience.- Awareness of GxP requirements, audit trails, and data integrity principles.- AWS, Azure, or GCP.- Docker and Kubernetes.- Microservices and event-driven architecture.- Asynchronous programming and background processing using Celery or similar tools.- Kafka or RabbitMQ.- MongoDB or Redis.
