Purplle is looking for a result-oriented Fleet Manager – Last Mile Operations to manage rider hiring, fleet availability, productivity, and delivery performance across its Quick Commerce Dark Store network in Kerala.
The role will be the primary point of contact for Last Mile-related matters, responsible for ensuring adequate rider availability, driving productivity, resolving ground-level challenges, and coordinating with recruitment teams and Dark Store operations to achieve business targets.
Rider Hiring & Workforce Planning

Monitor recruitment pipelines, joining ratios, and deployment timelines.
Fleet Productivity & Performance Management

Monitor daily rider productivity, orders per rider, login hours, attendance, utilisation, and delivery performance.
Analyse store-wise and rider-wise productivity trends and identify performance gaps.
Implement corrective action plans to improve fleet efficiency and delivery turnaround time.
Ensure adequate rider deployment during peak order volumes and promotional periods.
#Resolve issues related to attendance, incentives, payouts, app access, login problems, and delivery operations in coordination with relevant teams.
Last Mile Operations Management

Ensure smooth delivery operations across the assigned Dark Store network.
Coordinate with Dark Store Managers and Operations teams to address delivery bottlenecks.
Reporting & Data Analysis

Maintain daily and weekly reports covering rider strength, hiring pipeline,



active fleet, productivity, attrition, and delivery performance.
Track key performance indicators and share regular updates with management.
Use operational data to identify trends, manpower shortages, and opportunities for improvement.
#Work closely with Talent Acquisition, Dark Store Operations, HR, Payroll, and delivery partners.
Drive accountability across stakeholders to achieve fleet and operational targets.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Active rider availability and fleet utilisation.
Delivery turnaround time and SLA adherence.
Reduction in delivery cancellations attributable to fleet shortages.
Required Qualifications & Experience

- 5–6 years of experience in Quick Commerce, preferably in Last Mile Operations and Fleet Management .
- Strong hands-on experience in rider hiring, onboarding, deployment, and workforce planning.
- Proven track record of managing rider productivity and improving fleet utilisation.
- Experience managing frontline delivery workforces across multiple locations or Dark Stores.
- Proficiency in Excel, operational dashboards, and performance reporting.
- Good knowledge of the Kerala market and local rider availability; The ideal candidate is an execution-focused Last Mile professional who can take complete ownership of fleet availability and rider productivity. The candidate should be comfortable working on the ground, coordinating with recruiters, resolving rider issues independently, analysing operational data, and ensuring that every Dark Store has the right rider strength to support business demand.
