Role Overview : As an Automation / Site Reliability Engineer, you will serve as a critical bridge between software development and infrastructure operations, ensuring our platforms remain resilient, scalable, and highly available. Your day-to-day involves architecting robust CI/CD pipelines, automating manual toil, and managing cloud infrastructure to support high-traffic production environments. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to troubleshoot complex system bottlenecks and implement proactive monitoring solutions. By championing reliability and performance, you directly influence the end-user experience, ensuring seamless service delivery and driving operational excellence across our global business units in Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.Key Responsibilities : - Design and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines to accelerate deployment cycles and ensure consistent release quality for development teams.- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform to ensure environment parity and rapid disaster recovery capabilities.- Implement comprehensive monitoring and incident response workflows via PagerDuty to minimize downtime and maintain strict Service Level Objectives.- Develop custom automation scripts in Python and BASH to eliminate repetitive manual tasks and improve overall system efficiency.- Build and secure robust API integrations to facilitate seamless communication between microservices and third-party platforms.- Enforce Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices to ensure auditability, security, and stability across all production environments.Required Skillset : - Demonstrated expertise in designing end-to-end automation testing frameworks that ensure high code quality and reduce regression risks.- Proven ability to manage complex cloud environments using Terraform, with a strong focus on modularity and security.- Advanced proficiency in Python and BASH scripting, with the capability to write clean, maintainable code for system automation and log analysis.- Strong understanding of API architecture and management, ensuring high performance and secure data exchange between distributed systems.- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical challenges and incident post-mortems to both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders.- A proactive mindset toward incident management, utilizing PagerDuty to maintain high availability and operational transparency.- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work workplace, collaborating effectively with distributed teams across Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, complemented by 6 - 10 years of hands-on experience in SRE or DevOps roles.
