Our partner is looking for a Java Developer - GIO based in India. As a Java Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications that support complex business requirements and deliver reliable software solutions for global clients. You will leverage your expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture to build scalable, secure, and efficient systems. Working closely with solution architects, QA engineers, product managers, and other developers, you will contribute to technical decisions and drive engineering excellence. You will help optimize application performance, strengthen security, and ensure high code quality through testing, reviews, and established development practices. Accountabilities: - Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications using Java and modern software development frameworks. - Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA. - Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms, leveraging technologies such as OAuth2 and JSON Web Tokens (JWT). - Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and testable code in accordance with established coding standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices. - Collaborate with solution architects on technical designs, architecture decisions, and the implementation of scalable software solutions. - Develop and maintain unit tests using JUnit, participate in peer code reviews,



and apply static code analysis to ensure software quality and reliability. - Diagnose and resolve software defects, memory management issues, multithreading challenges, synchronization problems, and performance bottlenecks. - Design and optimize database schemas, SQL queries, and data access layers to improve application efficiency and responsiveness. - Work with relational and NoSQL databases to support application requirements, data integrity, and scalability. - Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, while coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams. - Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and DevOps practices to improve delivery efficiency and software reliability. - Create and maintain technical documentation, coding guidelines, and implementation specifications. - Stay informed about emerging technologies and recommend improvements to development processes, system architecture, and application performance. Requirements: - A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. - At least 5 years of hands-on experience in backend software development using Java. - Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring ecosystem, particularly Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA. - Knowledge of Java multithreading, synchronization, concurrency, memory management, and performance optimization. - Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle, including robust SQL query-writing and optimization skills. - Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra and their application in scalable systems.
