Verve Therapeutics seeks a Senior SRE/DevOps Engineer to maintain a high-throughput, real-time ad-serving platform on GCP and Kubernetes. The role combines production system ownership with building reliability tools and services that scale across global infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Define, measure, and maintain SLOs and error budgets for critical services

Design and operate highly available, fault-tolerant infrastructure on GCP/Kubernetes

Build comprehensive observability and alerting across the platform

Lead incident response, conduct postmortems, and drive recurring fixes

Automate manual operational work and reduce toil through code and tools

Requirements

Hands-on experience operating large-scale cloud-native production systems

Robust GCP and Kubernetes (GKE) production experience, including failure modes

Practical knowledge of SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and incident management

Software development skills in Go, Python, or similar languages

Experience with observability tools: metrics, logs, tracing, and alerting
