Looking for a candidate who can take care of lab in co ordination with all dept of lab technicians and Consultants of Lab and consultants of Hospitals

Key Responsibilities & Duties

1. Lab Operations & Management

- Oversee day-to-day operations of the laboratory, ensuring efficiency and timely processing of samples.
- Supervise, guide, and schedule shifts for lab technicians, phlebotomists, and support staff.
- Maintain laboratory inventory, reagents, and equipment consumables; track stock levels and place orders to prevent shortages.

2. Testing & Quality Assurance

- Perform, verify, and validate routine and specialized pathology/diagnostic tests (Haematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Serology, etc.).
- Implement and strictly follow Quality Control (QC) protocols, including Internal QC and External Quality Assurance Schemes (EQAS).
- Ensure prompt critical value reporting to attending doctors and healthcare personnel.

3. Equipment & Maintenance

- Handle calibration, operation, and routine preventive maintenance of diagnostic analyzers and laboratory equipment.




- Troubleshoot equipment errors and coordinate with vendor service engineers for repairs.

4. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure strict adherence to biomedical waste management (BMWM) norms and biosafety practices.
- Maintain complete documentation, logs, and register records as per regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., NABH / NABL).

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

- Education: B.Sc / M.Sc in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or DMLT (Diploma in Medical Lab Technology).
- Experience: 3 to 8 years of experience in a clinical lab or hospital set-up (minimum 12 years in a senior or supervisory role preferred).
- Key Skills Required:

- Hands-on expertise in automated lab equipment (Biochemistry, Haematology, etc.)
- Robust knowledge of Quality Control (QC) & Quality Assurance (QA) protocols
- Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) proficiency
- Biomedical Waste Management knowledge
- Team management, leadership, and trouble-shooting abilities
- Good verbal and written communication skills
