Content Curator Intern

Role Overview

We are looking for a Content Curator Intern to support our OTT content acquisition and curation team in identifying, researching, screening, and organizing quality films, web series, independent films, documentaries, short films, and micro-dramas.

Key Responsibilities

- Research and identify films, web series, independent films, documentaries, short films, and micro-dramas suitable for OTT platforms.
- Screen and evaluate assigned content based on story, screenplay, direction, performances, production quality, originality, and overall audience appeal.
- Watch and review content and prepare short evaluation notes and content reports.
- Research filmmakers, producers, production houses, distributors, sales agents, and content rights holders.
- Maintain and update the content acquisition database and tracking sheets.
- Categorize content by language, genre, format, country, year, duration, and content status.
- Identify interesting international and independent content that may have potential for Indian audiences.
- Track the status of submitted content, including received, under evaluation, curated, rejected, shortlisted, and negotiation stages.
- Support the team in preparing content lists, research reports, presentations, and acquisition updates.
- Assist in identifying potential content opportunities from online platforms, film festivals, production companies, distributors, and independent creators.
- Coordinate internally with the acquisition team regarding content that requires further evaluation.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure that all assigned research and content records are updated regularly.

Daily Work Expectations





- Research and identify new content opportunities.
- Screen assigned titles and prepare evaluation notes.
- Research relevant rights holders and content companies.
- Update the content tracker/database.
- Organize and categorize titles.
- Prepare daily/weekly work-status updates.
- Support the Content Acquisition Manager with research and curation requirements.

Required Skills

- Strong interest in films, OTT, web series, and digital entertainment.
- Good understanding of storytelling, screenplay, direction, and basic film appreciation.
- Valuable research and internet-search skills.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets and documentation.
- Ability to watch and evaluate content objectively.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet daily targets.
- Willingness to explore international and regional cinema.

Preferred

- Film/Media/Mass Communication/Journalism/English or related educational background.
- Experience in film reviewing, content writing, film clubs, short-film projects, or OTT-related work.
- Knowledge of multiple Indian languages or international cinema is an advantage.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Number of titles researched per day.
- Number of titles screened/evaluated.
- Quality and accuracy of evaluation reports.
- Number of relevant rights holders/content sources identified.
- Accuracy and completeness of content database updates.
- Timeliness of assigned work.
- Number of promising titles shortlisted for further consideration.
