Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage our day-to-day financial operations, ensure accurate bookkeeping, and handle all statutory compliances. The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in general accounting principles, hands-on experience with GST filings, and a solid understanding of direct and indirect taxation.

Key Responsibilities

1. General Accounting & Bookkeeping

- Maintain day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
- Perform bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and balance sheet preparation.
- Process vendor invoices, expense claims, and payroll entries accurately.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

2. GST & Indirect Taxation

- Handle end-to-end GST compliance, including computation, reconciliation, and timely filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual returns (e.g., GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9).
- Ensure accurate reconciliation of input tax credit (ITC)



with purchase registers and GSTR-2B.
- Manage e-way bill generation and handle GST audits or notice responses when required.

3. Direct Taxation & Compliance

- Calculate, deduct, and deposit TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) and file quarterly TDS returns.
- Assist with income tax computations, advance tax payments, and annual income tax return (ITR) filings.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors for statutory, tax, and internal audits.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Education: Bachelors degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA Inter or M.Com is a strong plus).
- Experience: [e.g., 3 to 5 years] of hands-on experience in corporate accounting or a chartered accountant firm.
- Technical Skills:

- Strong mastery of General Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- In-depth knowledge of GST laws, rules, and portal operations.
- Proficiency in handling TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
