About the Role

We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer with solid practical expertise in cloud infrastructure operations and automation. The role is responsible for maintaining and improving cloud platform availability, system performance, and operational efficiency. The position requires close coordination with internal stakeholders such as cloud operations, DevOps, application support, and security teams to ensure that AWS systems are secure, scalable, and optimized for cost and performance.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

- Maintain, support, and operate AWS environments across multiple accounts (production, staging, non-production).
- Provision, configure, and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
- Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines, including integrations with source control repositories.
- Administer Amazon EKS clusters, including deployment, scaling, version upgrades, and issue resolution.
- Build and maintain Docker container images and manage image repositories using Amazon ECR
- Monitor cloud resources using Amazon CloudWatch and external monitoring tools; respond to alerts, outages, and performance issues.
- Manage AWS networking components including VPCs, routing, NAT, VPN/Direct Connect, and Transit Gateways.
- Support cloud governance activities such as tagging strategies, budget monitoring, and cost optimization.




- Automate recurring operational tasks using Python, Bash, AWS Lambda, and AWS Systems Manager.

Required Technical Background

- Deep, hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, IAM, VPC, S3, Load Balancers, and CloudWatch.
- Strong experience using Terraform for automated infrastructure provisioning.
- Proficiency in Git-based workflows for version control and collaboration.
- Practical experience running and troubleshooting Kubernetes workloads, preferably on Amazon EKS.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.
- Strong scripting skills using Python or Bash.
- Solid understanding of monitoring practices and system incident response procedures.
- Knowledge of cloud security fundamentals and best practices.

Preferred / Good-To-Have Skills

- AWS Associate-level certification(s).
- Experience with tools such as Karpenter, Prometheus, or New Relic.
- Exposure to cloud cost management, FinOps practices, or cloud optimization tools.
