Role Overview

We are looking for an IT Asset Management and CMDB SME to support the management of Flexera, IT assets, the CMDB in SymphonyAI, and the integration between Flexera and SymphonyAI.

The roles will primarily focus on managing IT asset data in Flexera, maintaining the CMDB in SymphonyAI, supporting the integration between the two platforms, and ensuring data quality, governance, and reporting across our asset and configuration management processes. The position also requires close collaboration with IT Operations, Service Management, Procurement, Finance, Infrastructure, and Vendor Management teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain IT asset data in Flexera, including hardware, software, licenses, contracts, and entitlement information.
- Maintain and improve the CMDB in SymphonyAI, including configuration items, attributes, relationships, ownership, and lifecycle status.
- Support the integration between Flexera and SymphonyAI, including data mapping, monitoring, reconciliation, and issue resolution.
- Ensure asset and CMDB data is accurate, complete, consistent, and aligned across systems.
- Support asset lifecycle activities, including procurement, deployment, allocation, maintenance, renewal, reclamation, and retirement.
- Perform regular data validation, reconciliation, and cleanup activities.
- Support software license compliance, inventory reporting, and asset optimization activities.
- Create and maintain reports related to asset inventory, license compliance, CMDB health, and integration status.
- Document processes, data flows, integration mappings, and operational procedures.
- Support audits,



compliance reviews, and governance activities related to IT assets and CMDB data.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to improve ITAM and CMDB process maturity.

Required Skills and Experience

- Experience with Flexera or similar IT Asset Management tools.
- Experience with SymphonyAI or similar ITSM/CMDB platforms.
- Good understanding of IT Asset Management, CMDB, and ITSM processes.
- Knowledge of asset lifecycle management, software licensing, configuration items, and CI relationships.
- Experience with data reconciliation, reporting, and data quality improvement.
- Understanding of system integrations, data mapping, and interface monitoring.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across IT, Procurement, Finance, and Operations.
- Good communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Flexera and SymphonyAI integration.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes, especially Asset Management, Configuration Management, Incident Management, and Change Management.
- Experience with discovery tools or software inventory sources.
