Role & responsibilities

The Infrastructure & SOC Lead is responsible for overseeing the organization's IT infrastructure and cybersecurity operations. This role ensures the availability, performance, scalability, and security of enterprise systems, cloud platforms, networks, and security monitoring environments. The position leads Infrastructure, Security Operations Center (SOC), Incident Response, and Disaster Recovery initiatives while managing technical teams and driving continuous improvement across IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management

- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure systems.
- Manage servers, storage, virtualization platforms, cloud environments, and network infrastructure.
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of IT services.
- Monitor infrastructure capacity, utilization, and scalability requirements.
- Develop infrastructure roadmaps aligned with business objectives.

Security Operations Center (SOC) Management

- Lead and manage day-to-day SOC operations, including monitoring, detection, analysis, and response activities.
- Oversee Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, or LogRhythm.
- Establish and maintain security monitoring use cases, alert tuning, and threat detection capabilities.
- Ensure timely investigation, containment, and remediation of security incidents.
- Coordinate incident response activities and post-incident reviews.
- Develop and maintain SOC processes, playbooks, and operational procedures.
- Lead threat hunting and vulnerability management initiatives.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management





- Collaborate with security teams to strengthen organizational security posture.
- Ensure compliance with security standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, SOC 2, and GDPR.
- Conduct risk assessments and security reviews of infrastructure environments.
- Manage vulnerability assessments, penetration testing remediation, and patch management programs.
- Implement security controls across cloud, network, and endpoint environments.

Cloud & Platform Administration

- Manage Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud infrastructure environments.
- Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
- Implement cloud security best practices and governance controls.
- Drive infrastructure automation through Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, or similar tools.

Network & Data Center Operations

- Oversee LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and load balancer environments.
- Ensure secure network architecture and segmentation.
- Support business continuity, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.

Incident Response & Business Continuity

- Serve as the escalation point for critical infrastructure and cybersecurity incidents.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and drive corrective actions.
- Develop, test, and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP).
- Ensure rapid recovery and minimal business disruption during outages or security events.

People Leadership





- Lead Infrastructure Engineers, System Administrators, Network Engineers, Security Analysts, and SOC Engineers.
- Mentor and develop team members through training, coaching, and career planning.
- Establish team goals, KPIs, and operational excellence standards.
- Foster a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement.

Project & Vendor Management

- Deliver infrastructure and cybersecurity projects within scope, budget, and timelines.
- Manage technology vendors, managed security service providers (MSSPs), and infrastructure partners.
- Participate in annual budgeting, forecasting, and capacity planning.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

- Strong experience in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization technologies.
- Expertise in Azure, AWS, or GCP environments.
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight, LogRhythm).
- Knowledge of EDR/XDR solutions such as Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, or Cortex.
- Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, VPN, and network security technologies.
- Familiarity with security frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and MITRE ATT&CK.;
- Solid scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Terraform.
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud and zero-trust security architectures.

Leadership Skills

- Strong people management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Experience leading both Infrastructure and Cybersecurity/SOC teams.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and crisis management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and operational priorities simultaneously.
