Were looking for senior backend engineers to join the engineering team of a US-based B2B e-commerce client. Youll build and scale backend services for a high-traffic commerce platform and work closely with the clients US-based engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs in Go
- Build event-driven and streaming workflows using Kafka
- Design data models and write effective queries in PostgreSQL
- Deploy and run services on AWS, focusing on reliability, performance and monitoring
- Work with front-end, product and QA teams on integrations and API contracts
- Take part in code reviews, technical design discussions and production support
- Write clean, tested and well-documented code
Must-have skills
- 7+ years of backend development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Go (Golang) in production systems
- Experience with Kafka or similar event streaming platforms
- Strong PostgreSQL skills: schema design,
query optimization and transactions
- Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda or similar)
- Experience designing RESTful APIs and working with microservices
- Solid understanding of concurrency, distributed systems and performance tuning
Good to have
- E-commerce or B2B commerce platform experience
- Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform
- CI/CD using GitHub Actions or similar
- Monitoring tools such as New Relic, Sentry or Datadog
- Experience working directly with US clients
Working hours
Must overlap with US Eastern Time until about 2 PM ET (roughly 6:30 PM - 12:30 AM IST). Flexibility for releases or production issues when needed.
