Job Description: IT Manager / System Administrator Windows & Linux Servers

Experience: 3–5 Years

Job Overview:

IT Manager/System Administrator to manage Windows & Linux servers hosted on

premises, colocation data center. The role focuses on server administration, security

compliance, monitoring, and vendor coordination.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer Windows Server (AD, DNS, GPO) and Linux servers (RHEL, Ubuntu,

CentOS)

- Perform installation, configuration, patch management, and upgrades
- Monitor servers using source tools (Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, other

opensource tools etc.)

- Implement security best practices, hardening, and access controls
- Handle vulnerability management and patch compliance
- Experience in implementing the Log monitoring tools like elastic, wazuh etc.
- Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery support
- Coordinate with colocation provider for:
- Remote hands support
- Hardware troubleshooting / replacement
- Network connectivity issues
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA)
- Maintain documentation, asset inventory, and audit logs
- Experience in Conducting BCP, DR Drills and server’s configurations, process as

per the best industry standards.

Required Skills:

- Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy




- Managing servers / installation of the software like Node JS, React, and

deployment tools both windows and Ubuntu/Linux setting.

- Experience in managing the Gitlab centralised repository, File servers and NAS

storage devices.

- Linux Administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS)
- Having experience using PIM /PAM solutions like Arcon PAM , other monitoring

tools.

- Virtualization: VMware / Hyper-V / KVM/Oracle VM
- Patch Management & System Hardening
- Server Monitoring Tools
- Experience in Networking, firewall- FortiGate maintenance, (IP, Subnetting,

Firewalls)

- Backup Solutions & Disaster Recovery
- Scripting: PowerShell / Bash (preferred)
- Experience in installation and maintenance of the software in Linux/Ubuntu using

Docker.

Security & Compliance

- Experience of ISO 27001, SOC Type 1, 2 security standards
- Experience in user/network devices access control, patching, vulnerability

remediation

- IS Audit support and compliance documentation

Qualification

- B.Tech / B.E / Bachelor’s in IT or related field

Preferred Certifications:

- Microsoft / Linux (RHCSA, MCSA)
- Security+ / CEH (nice to have)
