Role Description The Tender Engineer is responsible for managing the end-to-end tendering process for engineering and consultancy projects in an on-site, full-time role based in Kolkata. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying relevant tenders, reviewing tender documents and technical specifications, and coordinating with internal teams to gather technical, commercial, and legal inputs. The role involves preparing comprehensive bid proposals, cost estimates, BOQs, and supporting documentation, while ensuring compliance with client requirements and applicable standards. The Tender Engineer will track submission deadlines, participate in pre-bid meetings and clarifications,



and support post-submission follow-ups, negotiations, and documentation. The position also includes maintaining tender databases, updating management on tender status, and contributing to process improvements for efficient bid management. Qualifications
• Strong technical background in engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical, or related discipline) with the ability to understand drawings, specifications, and project scopes.
• Experience in tendering, bid preparation, estimation, and costing for engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with estimation or tender management software tools.
• Solid understanding of contract terms, procurement processes, and regulatory or compliance requirements relevant to engineering tenders.
• Effective communication, documentation, and presentation skills, with the ability to coordinate inputs from cross-functional teams.
• Solid analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and proposals.
• Ability to work on-site in Kolkata, manage multiple tenders simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering or a related field; prior experience in a tendering or proposals role will be considered an advantage.
