The product is a gamified, quiz-first app that helps users build deep knowledge of African proverbs, traditions, rites of passage, festivals, folklore, and customs. By combining engaging gameplay with structured learning, Superfan.ng aims to preserve and promote cultural heritage in a modern, accessible format. The team is passionate about creating digital experiences that celebrate African identities while supporting language learning and cultural literacy. Role Description The Senior Full Stack Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Superfan.ng’s web and mobile application features from end to end. This role involves collaborating closely with product, design, and content teams to translate learning experiences and gamification concepts into scalable, performant, and secure software. Day-to-day tasks include implementing front-end interfaces, developing back-end APIs and services, integrating data sources, optimizing application performance, and ensuring code quality through testing and reviews.



The Senior Full Stack Engineer will also contribute to architectural decisions, mentor other engineers, and help improve development processes and tooling. Qualifications
• Strong front-end engineering skills in Front-End Development and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), with experience building responsive, accessible user interfaces.
• Solid back-end expertise in Back-End Web Development, including API design, data modeling, and server-side performance optimization.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Full-Stack Development, with the ability to own features across the entire stack.
• Experience with up-to-date web frameworks, version control (Git), automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Background in designing scalable architectures on cloud platforms and working with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment, communicate clearly, and collaborate across disciplines and time zones.
• Previous experience in edtech, gaming, or culturally focused products is a plus, as is familiarity with African languages or cultures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
