We are seeking an experienced OpenAI Partner Solution Architect to drive the adoption, architecture, and delivery of OpenAI-powered solutions across enterprise customers. The role will work closely with OpenAI, Wipro business units, clients, and engineering teams to design scalable AI solutions, develop industry-specific use cases, and accelerate enterprise transformation using Generative AI and Agentic AI technologies.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in AI/ML architectures, Large Language Models (LLMs), OpenAI services, enterprise integrations, governance, and solution consulting.
As an OpenAI Partner Solutions Architect, you are both the senior technical authority on GenAI solution design and the owner of our strategic relationship with OpenAI and the broader AI ecosystem. You translate business problems into robust architectures, prove them through hands-on prototyping, and guide engineering teams to production — while managing partner alignment, joint go-to-market, certifications, and co-innovation. This role blends deep technical design with partnership management.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design
- Own the architecture: Design end-to-end GenAI solutions on OpenAI / Azure OpenAI — including RAG pipelines, agentic and multi-agent workflows, copilots, and fine-tuned or domain-adapted models.
- Make the key decisions: Select models, orchestration frameworks, vector stores, and integration patterns; document architectures, trade-offs, and non-functional requirements (scale, latency, cost, security).
- Reference architectures: Create reusable blueprints, design patterns, and accelerators that standardize quality and speed up delivery across engagements.
Partner & Alliance Management
- Own the relationship: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for OpenAI, and related ecosystem partners,
building strong working relationships across their solution and account teams.
- Partner status & certifications: Drive the company's progress toward and maintenance of partner competencies, specializations, and certifications, and manage associated funding, credits, and program benefits.
Internal - General Use
- Joint go-to-market: Collaborate with partners on co-selling, joint solutions, marketplace listings, and co-marketing; represent the company in partner briefings, roadmap sessions, and events.
- Co-innovation & roadmap: Track partner product roadmaps, secure early access to new capabilities, feed client requirements back to partners, and translate emerging features into new offerings.
Hands-On Engineering & Delivery
- Build proofs of concept and reference implementations to validate designs, model choices, and prompt/retrieval strategies.
- Define standards for prompt engineering, evaluation, and orchestration (e.g., Lang Chain, Llama Index, Semantic Kernel), and design data/retrieval pipelines and vector schemas.
- Establish LLMOps / MLOps practices — CI/CD, versioning, monitoring, evaluation, and observability — and support the transition into managed operations with SLAs and runbooks.
- Optimize solutions for scale, resilience, and cost-to-serve through Fin Ops practices (token usage, caching, model routing, inference efficiency).
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science,
or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 8 to 12 years in software / solution architecture, with 3+ years designing and delivering AI/ML solutions and hands-on experience taking GenAI / LLM solutions to production.
- Demonstrable experience managing technology partnerships or alliances (e.g., with OpenAI, Microsoft, AWS, Google, or similar), including certifications and joint go-to-market.
- Deep, hands-on knowledge of OpenAI and/or Azure OpenAI — APIs, model families, function/tool calling, embeddings, and fine-tuning.
- Strong experience architecting RAG systems, agentic workflows, vector databases, and prompt engineering & evaluation.
- Solid cloud engineering background (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP an advantage) plus MLOps/LLMOps, CI/CD, containers, and API-driven integration.
- Solid programming proficiency in Python and comfort working directly in code.
- Experience embedding security, Responsible AI, and governance into enterprise-grade solutions.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, able to engage both engineers and senior partner/client stakeholders.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure AI Engineer / Solutions Architect, or other cloud architecture and partner credentials).
- Experience running or contributing to a partner competency, specialization, or marketplace program.
- Prior consulting or managed-services / IT services delivery experience.
- Domain experience in verticals such as BFSI, healthcare, retail, or manufacturing.
Internal - General Use
- Thought-leadership contributions — publications, talks, open-source, or patents in AI.
- A collaborative, learning-oriented culture with continuous upskilling and certification support.
