Motto Systems builds mission-critical enterprise software
for the regulated pharmaceutical industry digitising GMP
compliance, batch records, audit trails, and quality
workflows to make Paperless Pharma a reality. Our platform
GMPPro operates across a hybrid Azure + on-premises
architecture deployed at leading API and formulation
manufacturers across India. The data layer is at the heart
of everything we do — and this role owns it.

ELIGIBILITY

- 5–8 years spanning database administration AND
.NET application development
- Immediate joiners ONLY — serving notice need not apply
- 5 days Work From Office • Hyderabad • No remote option
- Hands-on doer — must own and deliver independently
- GxP / pharma / regulated industry background a strong plus

SQL SERVER & AZURE SQL — CORE REQUIRED

SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 — production administration
Azure SQL — elastic pools, DTUs/vCores, VNet, firewall rules
T-SQL — stored procedures, CTEs, views, indexes
Query optimisation — execution plans, index tuning, statistics
Backup, HA & recovery — Always On Availability Groups,
log shipping
Monitor performance — DMVs, Profiler, Extended Events
Manage logins, roles, permissions & database-level auditing
Configure private endpoints & VNet for Azure SQL connectivity
Troubleshoot database-related application & production issues
Support hybrid SQL Server (on-premises) + Azure SQL architecture

MONGODB — CORE REQUIRED

Production administration • replica sets • sharded clusters
Design & optimise collections, documents & BSON structures
Aggregation pipelines — $lookup, $match, $group optimisation




Index creation, explain() analysis & profiler-based tuning
WiredTiger — cache sizing, compression, checkpointing
Configure RBAC, TLS & audit log setup
Backup & recovery — mongodump, mongomirror, snapshots
Administer via mongosh & scripting (JS / Python / PowerShell)

.NET & APPLICATION DATA LAYER

C# / .NET Core — valuable working knowledge
Entity Framework Core — migrations, schema, query behaviour
LINQ — query writing & performance optimisation
ADO.NET — direct database operations
ASP.NET Core Web API — understanding of data flow & DB
interaction patterns
Debug application-level DB issues — connection, ORM, query
REST API database integration patterns
Collaborate on schema design & EF Core migration scripts

MONITORING, HYBRID & REGULATED DATA

Application Insights & Log Analytics — DB performance
monitoring & slow query tracing
Configure alerts, dashboards & distributed query tracing
Support hybrid on-premises + Azure SQL data architecture
Implement GxP data integrity & audit trail design
Awareness of 21 CFR Part 11, EU GMP Annex 11, GAMP 5
Support IQ/OQ/PQ validation documentation where required
Produce & maintain SOPs, runbooks & change records

GOOD TO HAVE

MongoDB Certified DBA Associate or Professional certification
Hands-on GxP / 21 CFR Part 11 / GAMP 5 experience
MinIO object storage / Redis caching / Hangfire scheduling
Grafana / Seq or similar observability tools




Prior experience with pharma platforms (EDMS, QMS, LMS)
Experience integrating MongoDB with SQL Server in hybrid
architecture

IMPORTANT — TECHNICAL ASSESSMENT

All shortlisted candidates will undergo a mandatory
hands-on technical assessment — expect live SQL and
MongoDB query writing, EF Core scenario analysis, and
real-world DB troubleshooting on the spot.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science,
Information Technology, or equivalent
