Mainframe Developer / Tech Lead (COBOL, JCL, DB2) ?

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer / Tech Lead with strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and Native Stored Procedures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end delivery, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and production support within an Agile environment. This role requires both technical hands-on experience and leadership capabilities to guide development activities, ensure code quality, and support critical business applications.

Key Responsibilities
• Analyze business requirements and participate in requirement gathering discussions.
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Mainframe applications.
• Develop and support programs using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.
• Create and maintain DB2 Native Stored Procedures.
• Perform coding, unit testing, integration testing, and defect resolution.
• Support production releases and resolve application issues.
• Conduct impact analysis and provide effort estimations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.




• Review code and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance. Required Skills ✅ 5-9 years of experience in Mainframe Development ✅ Strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM ✅ Experience with DB2 Native Stored Procedures ✅ Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies ✅ Hands-on experience in coding, testing, and production support ✅ Ability to perform requirement analysis and impact assessment ✅ Strong debugging and problem-solving skills ✅ Experience in handling critical production incidents Preferred Skills
