Job Description: Guidewire Rating Developer

Experience: 4 10 years | Level: Associate / Senior Associate | PwC Acceleration Center India

We are looking for Guidewire Rating Developers with 4 10 years of experience and hands-on expertise in Guidewire Policy Center rating configuration and development. The role involves translating insurance rating requirements into reliable, maintainable solutions, independently investigating premium calculation issues, and collaborating with business, actuarial, and technical teams to deliver quality implementations.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, configure, and maintain rating solutions in Guidewire Policy Center, including rate books, rate tables, rating algorithms/routines, and rating worksheets.

Analyze business and actuarial requirements; implement rate changes, factors, modifiers, and coverage-level premium calculations across applicable lines of business.

Develop and troubleshoot Gosu-based rating logic, validations, and related Policy Center configuration; investigate premium discrepancies and complex rating defects.

Support rating integrations and data exchange with downstream/upstream systems; coordinate with Policy Center configuration, integration, QA, and business teams.

Perform impact analysis, estimates, unit testing, regression support, code reviews, and root cause analysis to ensure accurate and timely delivery.

Communicate effectively with client stakeholders,



contribute to Agile delivery, and support/mentor junior developers as appropriate to experience.

What You Must Have

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

4 10 years of software development experience with relevant hands-on Guidewire experience, preferably focused on Policy Center rating.

Valuable knowledge of Guidewire rating concepts, rate tables, rating algorithms, Gosu, and Policy Center configuration; ability to debug premium calculation issues.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and English written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage assigned deliverables.

What Sets You Apart

Experience with personal or commercial P&C; insurance rating, product model, coverage and modifier configuration, and multi-state rating requirements.

Guidewire certification and hands-on Guidewire Cloud project implementation or migration experience (a plus, not mandatory).

Exposure to rating integrations, automated testing, performance optimization, production troubleshooting, and Agile/Scrum delivery.

Ability to independently own complex rating changes, engage with client stakeholders, and guide less-experienced team members.
