Role Description This is a full-time, non-paid Web Developer Intern (PHP) role based in Bengaluru with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work from home. The intern will assist in developing and maintaining web applications using PHP and related technologies, working closely with senior developers to implement features and fix bugs. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean and efficient code, contributing to both front-end and back-end development, testing and debugging web pages, and ensuring compatibility across browsers and devices.
The role also involves collaborating with designers and other team members to translate requirements into functional web interfaces, documenting code, and learning best practices in contemporary web development.
The position is designed to provide hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to real client projects in a professional environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess foundational skills in Web Development and Programming, with a focus on PHP and basic understanding of databases (e.g., MySQL).
- Candidates should possess skills in Back-End Web Development, including server-side scripting, handling APIs, and working with MVC frameworks (any exposure to Laravel or similar is beneficial).
- Candidates should possess skills in Front-End Development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and be able to build responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
- Candidates should possess skills in Web Design fundamentals, such as layout, usability, and basic understanding of UX/UI principles.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include familiarity with version control (Git), problem-solving aptitude, willingness to learn new technologies, and ability to work in a hybrid team environment.
- Pursuing or having completed a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, but candidates with strong portfolios or projects are also encouraged to apply.
