This is anexciting opportunity to help deliver meaningful change across Lake Macquarie City Council.
As a Change Specialist, you'll work closely with project managers, business analysts, subject matter experts and technical teams to support the successful implementation of technology. You'll develop and coordinate change management activities that help our people understand, adopt and embrace new systems, processes and ways of working.
You'll play a key role in identifying change impacts, engaging stakeholders, preparing communication and training activities, and supporting leaders and teams through transition. Through your ability to build relationships, challenge existing thinking and deliver customer-focused outcomes, you'll help drive organisational improvements that enhance both service delivery and operational efficiency.

This exciting role will:

- Coordinate change management activities across technology and business improvement projects

- Develop and deliver communication, training and stakeholder engagement plans

- Assess the impacts of change on people, processes, systems and culture

- Work closely with project managers and key stakeholders to support successful project outcomes

- Coach and support leaders and employees through periods of change

- Identify risks, barriers and opportunities associated with change initiatives

- Support organisational readiness and adoption activities across multiple projects

- Build strong working relationships that promote collaboration and successful change outcomes

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

- Degree-level qualifications in Information Technology, Change Management, Project Management or a related discipline, and/or relevant experience driving change within a complex organisation

- Experience supporting change initiatives associated with software implementations or technology projects

- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills

- Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver customer-focused outcomes

- Experience managing competing priorities and multiple project deliverables

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

- The ability to challenge existing practices and identify opportunities for improvement

- Knowledge and experience applying recognised change management methodologies and frameworks

- Robust organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and achieve outcomes in a project environment
