About the Role
We are looking for a Backend Platform Engineer to build and maintain scalable backend services and data infrastructure for a consumer technology platform. You will focus on API performance, event processing, data reliability, and secure multi-tenant systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Build and optimize low-latency services for high-volume requests.
- Develop event-driven pipelines with reliable processing, deduplication, and retry handling.
- Maintain data flows across relational databases, caching systems, and analytics stores.
- Implement tenant isolation, access controls, and data validation.
- Build background processing and enrichment workflows.
- Monitor service performance, investigate production issues, and improve system reliability.
- Write meaningful tests, review code, and document technical decisions.
- Collaborate with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams to deliver production-ready solutions.

Required Skills

- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.




- Experience building and maintaining production backend services and REST APIs.
- Solid understanding of SQL, database design, and query optimization.
- Experience with at least one of: message queues, event streaming, caching systems, or analytical databases.
- Understanding of asynchronous processing, idempotency, and eventual consistency.
- Solid debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Git and collaborative code reviews.

Good to Have

- Familiarity with Redis, Kafka, PostgreSQL, or ClickHouse.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure.
- Exposure to workflow orchestration, observability, or performance testing.
- Experience building multi-tenant platforms.
