About OXMIQ

OXMIQ provides complete hardware and software GPU IP, so our customers can build their own AI silicon. Our OxCore architecture combines scalar, tensor and SIMT engines on one platform. It delivers CUDA compatibility alongside a flexible, fully programmable architecture.

OxPython, our software stack, runs on top of it and lets CUDA-optimized models run unmodified on Oxmiq’s GPU IP, giving day-zero support for new AI models. We have an established software team and a working stack. We’re now moving from development to production delivery, hardening the platform and scaling it to meet real customer demands.

You’ll join the OXMIQ software team as an early-career engineer working on the GPU software stack. You’ll work closely with senior engineers and architects to build, test and optimize the kernels, runtime and enablement layers that bring high performance to our customers’ AI workloads.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, test and optimize GPU software within OxPython, the OXMIQ software stack, across the kernel, runtime and framework integration layers.
- Write and tune GPU kernels (CUDA, Triton-based and custom ops) for AI workloads such as GEMM, attention, convolution and memory-bound operators.
- Profile and benchmark workloads, identify performance bottlenecks and help close the gap to peak hardware utilization.
- Learn and apply SIMT and parallel compute concepts, including thread/warp scheduling, divergence, occupancy and efficient use of the memory hierarchy.
- Help enable current models, operators and customer workloads on Oxmiq GPU IP, including bring-up on pre-silicon and emulation platforms.
- Work with compiler engineers on how kernels are lowered and mapped onto Oxmiq hardware through MLIR/LLVM.

- Support software/hardware validation through test development, debugging and issue triage.
- Carry out root cause analysis for functional and performance issues in kernels and runtime code.
- Contribute to tooling, automation and documentation that make the stack easier to develop, test and ship.
- Take part in design and code reviews, and learn from senior engineers across the kernels, runtime and frameworks teams.

Required Qualifications

- 1–4 years of experience in GPU, systems or performance-focused software, including internships, research or graduate project work.
- Strong fundamentals in C/C++ and systems programming.
- Hands-on experience with GPU programming, including CUDA, from coursework, research, internships or projects.
- Understanding of SIMT and parallel compute fundamentals: threads/warps, divergence, synchronization, occupancy and memory hierarchies.
- Interest in performance work, plus basic experience with profiling and optimizing code.
- Familiarity with computer architecture and operating systems concepts.
- Exposure to ML frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, ONNX) and how deep learning workloads run on GPUs.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, eagerness to learn, and a bias toward shipping. You prototype, measure and iterate quickly.

- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience writing or optimizing GPU kernels such as GEMM, convolution, reductions or attention.

- Exposure to Triton or similar high-level GPU kernel frameworks.
- Familiarity with compiler infrastructure such as LLVM or MLIR.
- Exposure to GPU profiling tools such as Nsight or similar.
- Experience with Claude Code or equivalent AI-assisted development workflows.
- Coursework, research or projects in parallel computing, GPU architecture, compilers or high-performance computing.
- Background in AI workloads and software stacks: LLM inference and training, attention and KV-cache optimization, distributed and multi-GPU execution, or serving frameworks such as vLLM and SGLang.
- Contributions to open-source GPU, compiler, runtime or ML-framework projects such as LLVM, MLIR, Triton or PyTorch.

Education

B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Why OXMIQ

You’ll join a fast-growing company with an established team and a proven stack, as we scale it into a production platform in customers’ hands. You’ll work directly with the people designing the hardware it runs on. This role suits an early-career engineer who wants to build deep GPU software skills, learn from experienced engineers and architects, and work across an entire SIMT compute platform rather than just one layer of it.

Compensation & Benefits

OXMIQ offers a competitive compensation package, including base salary, equity participation, comprehensive medical coverage, and the opportunity to contribute to foundational silicon and software technology.

OXMIQ is an equal opportunity employer. We evaluate qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristic.
