Role Description The Jr Pharmacist is a full-time, on-site role based at Apoorva Diagnostic & Healthcare in Bengaluru. The role involves assisting with dispensing medications as per prescriptions, ensuring accurate labeling, dosage, and instructions, and maintaining proper storage conditions for pharmaceuticals.

Pharmacist supports inventory management by tracking stock levels, checking expiry dates, and assisting with ordering and replenishment of medicines and supplies. Daily responsibilities include counseling patients on medication use under appropriate supervision, maintaining prescription records, and adhering to regulatory and organizational policies.



The role also requires close coordination with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to support safe and efficient patient care.

Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution; valid registration with the relevant pharmacy council.
- Knowledge of basic pharmacology, dosage forms, and common medications used in hospital and diagnostic center settings.
- Ability to read and interpret prescriptions accurately and ensure safe dispensing practices.
- Familiarity with pharmacy inventory management, including stock rotation, expiry monitoring, and storage requirements.
- Understanding of relevant healthcare regulations, pharmacy standards, and patient safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Basic computer skills for working with prescription management systems and maintaining electronic records.
- Willingness to work in shifts as required and to learn from senior pharmacists and clinicians.
- Prior experience or internship in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting is an advantage but not mandatory.
