Grasim Industries Limited is the flagship company of Aditya Birla Group. It started as a textiles manufacturer in India in 1947. Today, it is a leading global player in VSF and the largest chemicals (Chlor-Alkali-s) player in India. It is also the largest cement producer and Diversified Financial Services (NBFC,



Asset Management and Life Insurance) player in India through its subsidiaries UltraTech Cement and Aditya Birla Capital.

In textiles, Grasim Industries Limited is the holding company of Jaya Shree Textiles and the brand, Linen Club.

Jaya Shree Textiles, part of the illustrious Aditya Birla Group, is India's top linen and wool manufacturing company. Set up in 1949, it is the first integrated Linen factory in the country with state-of-the-art facilities equipped with the latest spinning, weaving and finishing system from Switzerland and Italy. It has four strategic business units (SBUs) i.e., linen spinning, linen fabric, wool combing and worsted spinning.

Today, Jaya Shree Textiles sells its products in over 50 countries, spanning across six continents.

Key Responsibilities





- Production Planning and Control: Plan, direct and control activities across Production, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Dyeing and Development, prepare production schedules with marketing to meet delivery commitments at targeted machine utilisation, identify loss areas and take regular corrective action, and monitor final yarn quality for customer satisfaction
- Machine Reliability: Drive the team to monitor and check machine condition, provide technical inputs, and lead machine modification projects that improve reliability
- Cost Optimisation: Prepare the annual budget for manpower, power, production, waste percentage, maintenance and utilities, monitor and control these periodically, and manage total wastage and recovery of raw material
- New Product Development: Take part in market visits to understand customer needs, showcase new product lines at conferences and textile exhibitions to build pull, and brainstorm new product ideas with the development team on a continuous basis
- Safety and Sustainability: Monitor waste, energy and water intensity against sustainability guidelines, implement the HIRA SOP, and maintain world class housekeeping and secure working practices across the plant
- Team Capability Building: Motivate and guide team members, create space for sharing and implementing ideas, and identify training needs to drive development activities with HR
