Job Title - Quality & Supplier Development Enginee

Department - Quality / Engineeriner

Reports To - Management

Travel - Occasional visits to supplier/vendor locations

Role Purpose

To ensure that incoming materials, outsourced components, in-process production and finished products meet approved drawings, customer specifications, purchase requirements and applicable quality standards. The role also supports supplier quality and development, customer communication, audits, procurement coordination, documentation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier and outsourced-material inspection: Inspect finished or ready material at supplier/vendor premises when required. Verify dimensions, workmanship, material grade, quantity, identification and other requirements against approved drawings, purchase orders, specifications and customer communications. Prepare detailed inspection reports with observations and supporting evidence where appropriate.

Incoming quality control: Inspect engineering raw materials, bought-out parts and components received at the factory. Verify material test certificates (TCs), certificates of conformity, grade, dimensions, traceability and inspection documents against purchase requirements and approved drawings. Identify, label and report non-conforming material and coordinate segregation and disposition.

Production and final inspection: Prepare, review and verify in-process, production and final inspection reports. Ensure inspection results are recorded accurately and products meet drawing tolerances,



specifications and customer acceptance criteria before release or dispatch.

Customer communication: Handle email correspondence with customers on technical, dimensional and quality matters. Clarify drawing requirements, respond to inspection observations, coordinate corrective actions and maintain records of commitments and approvals.

Quality documentation and presentations: Prepare and maintain inspection formats, quality reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, checklists, quality presentations and other controlled documents. Ensure documents are current, approved and accessible to relevant teams.

Measurement and calibration: Use appropriate measuring instruments and inspection tools, record results accurately, and check that instruments are within calibration validity. Report damaged, overdue or unsuitable equipment.

• Continuous improvement: Monitor recurring defects, supplier rejections and customer complaints; help analyse trends and recommend practical improvements to inspection methods, process controls and documentation.
