Role Description The Chef at Frappe & Yap Cafe is responsible for preparing and presenting desserts, beverages, and light café dishes to consistent quality standards in a rapid-paced setting. Day-to-day tasks include planning and mise en place, cooking and baking menu items, ensuring food safety and hygiene, managing inventory, and coordinating with the front-of-house team to provide timely service. The Chef will also contribute to menu improvements, assist in training junior staff, and help maintain a clean, organized kitchen.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune City,



requiring flexible availability, including weekends and peak café hours.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in dessert preparation, baking, and basic café-style cooking, with attention to taste, texture, and presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen cleanliness practices in a professional setting.
- Ability to manage prep work, follow recipes, control portions, and handle inventory to minimize waste.
- Good time management and multitasking skills to perform under pressure during busy service periods.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with service staff and support a positive work environment.
- Prior experience as a Chef, Baker, Commis Chef, or in a dessert café or bakery is preferred.
- Relevant culinary training or certification is an advantage, though demonstrable skills and experience are highly valued.
- Willingness to work full-time on-site in Pune, with a reliable work ethic and commitment to customer satisfaction.
