Job Description:

Role Summary

Responsible for independently managing and reviewing accounts, maintaining accounting accuracy, handling bank and ledger reconciliations, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring books of accounts are accurate, complete, and ready for review.

KRA: Task / Activities

- Manage and review accounts, ledger scrutiny, trial balance, and journal entries.
- Handle Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS), bank reconciliation, and ledger reconciliation.
- Identify, investigate, and rectify accounting errors, discrepancies, and incorrect postings.
- Review books of accounts for accuracy, completeness, and proper classification.
- Handle GST and TDS accounting, prepare accounting schedules, and support account finalisation
- Manage multiple accounts, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.

KPI: Performance Metrics

- Accuracy and completeness of books of accounts.
- Timely completion of bank and ledger reconciliations.
- Number of discrepancies and incorrect postings identified and rectified.




- Accuracy of ledger scrutiny, trial balance review, and journal entries.
- Timely preparation of accounting schedules and support for account finalisation.

Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills :

Required Skills

- Strong practical knowledge of accounting principles, ledger scrutiny, trial balance review, and journal entries.
- Advanced working proficiency in Tally Prime/Tally ERP.
- Hands-on experience in BRS, bank reconciliation, and ledger reconciliation.
- Working knowledge of GST and TDS accounting.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and error-identification skills.

Preferred skills

- Experience managing and reviewing accounts for multiple clients or business entities.
- Experience preparing accounting schedules and supporting account finalisation.
- Experience working in CA firms, corporate finance departments, SMEs, accounting firms, or accounting outsourcing companies.
