Functional Engineer - R&D;

Requirements Analysis & Management
Gather and analyze customer, stakeholder, and market requirements.
Translate business needs into transparent, testable functional specifications.
Collaborate with product managers and system architects to define product features.
Functional Design
Develop functional architectures and workflows.
Create functional models (e.g., use cases, activity diagrams, system interaction diagrams).
Ensure designs align with performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams.
Act as a liaison between design, testing, and product validation teams.
Support system integration by ensuring all components meet functional expectations.
Prototyping & Validation
Contribute to early-stage prototype design and evaluation.
Define test cases and validation procedures based on functional requirements.




Analyze test results and identify functional issues or design gaps.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Explore recent technologies, tools, and materials to enhance product performance.
Support feasibility studies and concept validations.
Suggest improvements to existing products or systems based on user feedback and R&D; findings.
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare detailed functional specifications, requirement traceability matrices, and validation reports.
Maintain transparent records of design changes and decisions.
Ensure compliance with quality systems (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma, FDA if applicable).
Regulatory and Compliance Support
Ensure products comply with industry standards and regulations.
Work with regulatory teams to prepare necessary documentation for certification.
