Role & responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using Java.
Perform JBoss EAP application migration, upgrades, and code remediation.
Handle Java/Jakarta EE compatibility changes, including javax to jakarta migration.
Analyze application dependencies, frameworks, libraries, and configurations to resolve compatibility issues.
Develop and integrate REST APIs, messaging components, and enterprise services.
Write unit and integration tests, troubleshoot defects, and optimize application performance.
Use AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Amazon Q Developer for code analysis, remediation, and testing.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and production issue resolution.

Preferred candidate profile
Robust hands-on experience in Java 821 and J2EE.
Experience with JBoss EAP / Red Hat application platforms and migration or upgrades.
Practical experience with Java/Jakarta EE compatibility and javax-to-jakarta migration.
Knowledge of Spring/Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, and REST APIs.
Experience with SQL, Maven/Gradle, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
Hands-on use of AI coding assistants in day-to-day development.
