Patient Counselling

· Explaining about cataract, Diabetic Retinopathy, Glaucoma and other eye diseases of children.

· Responsible for explaining the patients about surgical packages.

· Counsel the patients & recommend for surgeries/procedures and investigations.

· Explain about the intensity of the disease and to encourage the patients to come for follow-up.

· Redress the patients’ complaints and keep a track of progress of the patients.

· Clarifying the doubts of the patients over telephone or in person

· Counsel the patients in eye hygiene.

Patient services:

· Check for any shortage of manpower in OP department

· Make sure that healthy setting is being maintained in OP department

· Responsible to sanction leave/off to staffs and make an alternative arrangements

· Support in OP registration whenever the need arises

Out-reach Camp Activities

· Participate in outreach Camps.

· Accounting the number of camp patients.

· Provide counselling to the patients in the camp.





· Help the patients who are brought through camps to get the best and specific treatment and assist them till they are discharged.

Responsibilities

Interdepartmental co-ordination

· Co-ordinate with the respective department for special screening program

· Co-ordinate with respective units for Eye screening camp at corporate/colleges.

· Help the patients to finish the investigations on time in each department.

Records/Reports management

· Responsible for maintaining Patients’ feedback, Patients ‘ database, Counselling details, Billing, Review, Appointment list, Medical audit, Re-counselling ,data(monthly),KPI (monthly).

· Maintain the accounts of the follow-up patients.

Self-development

· Develop capabilities of self through training and learning - to handle current and future jobs better.

People Management:

· Ensure that adequate training is being given to the team/sub-ordinates and the performance enhanced
