Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development:
Lead the design of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
Use computer-aided design (CAD) software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) to create detailed models and drawings.
Develop 3D prototypes, evaluate design feasibility, and iterate on designs to optimize performance.
Engineering Analysis:
Conduct simulations and analyses (e.g., stress, thermal, fluid dynamics) to ensure designs meet safety, performance, and durability standards.
Apply engineering principles to solve complex design problems, considering factors like material selection, manufacturing processes, and environmental constraints.
Project Management:
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, coordinating tasks and ensuring deadlines are met.
Manage timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects stay within scope and quality standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams,



including electrical engineers, manufacturing, and quality control.
Prototyping and Testing:
Oversee the creation of physical prototypes and the testing of design concepts.
Analyze testing data to validate and refine designs.
Address design flaws or shortcomings found during testing.
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for all designs, including technical specifications, calculations, and reports.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Client and Stakeholder Communication:
Collaborate with clients or internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure the design meets requirements.
Provide technical guidance and explanations to non-technical stakeholders.
