Amrita Vidyalayam, Kalavakkam, Chennai, is seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Accountant to join our administrative team. The ideal candidate should have sound accounting knowledge, strong numerical skills, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records and manage day-to-day accounting activities efficiently.

Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or a relevant qualification in Accounting or Finance.
Previous experience in accounting is preferred.
Valuable knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
Knowledge of Tally, GST, and bank reconciliation is preferred.
Ability to maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial reports.
Good communication, organizational, and numerical skills.
Strong attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain day-to-day accounting records, including ledgers,



cash books, bills, vouchers, receipts, and payments.
Maintain records of school fee collections and monitor outstanding payments.
Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and supporting documents.
Perform bank reconciliation and verify financial transactions.
Process payments and maintain records of income and expenditure.
Assist with GST documentation and other statutory compliance requirements, where applicable.
Ensure the accuracy of accounts and proper maintenance of financial documents.
Coordinate with the school administration regarding accounting and financial matters.
Perform other accounting duties as assigned by the management.
