Role Summary

We are looking for a Fixture Design Engineer with experience in CATIA V5, fixture design principles, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;). The candidate will be responsible for designing fixtures based on engineering requirements, ensuring dimensional accuracy, functionality, and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop fixtures using CATIA V5.
Apply fixture design principles to develop effective and reliable fixture solutions.
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T; requirements.
Ensure proper component positioning, locating, clamping, and repeatability in fixture designs.
Review designs for dimensional accuracy, manufacturability, and ease of assembly.
Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and production teams to resolve design-related issues.
Modify and optimize fixture designs based on engineering feedback and production requirements.
Support checking fixture design and development activities, where applicable.

Required Skills
Hands-on experience with CATIA V5 for 3D modelling and 2D detailing.




Robust understanding of fixture design principles.
Valuable knowledge of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances.
Understanding of locating, clamping, and positioning principles in fixture design.

Preferred Skills
Experience in checking fixture design and development.
Knowledge of inspection methods and dimensional verification.
Understanding of automotive component manufacturing and quality requirements.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Candidates with experience in fixture design using CATIA V5, a robust understanding of GD&T;, and knowledge of checking fixtures will be preferred.
