Job Title: Senior Android Engineer Payment SDK

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Android Engineer with solid Kotlin expertise to own the end-to-end development, maintenance, and modernization of the Paymorrow Android Payment SDK.

The role involves developing secure payment solutions, integrating third-party libraries, supporting merchant integrations, and maintaining high standards of security, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Android SDKs using Kotlin and Java.
Implement payment features, including card tokenisation, hosted fields, and EMV 3-D Secure 2 (3DS2).
Develop and maintain Android HCE functionality for girocard payments using the EKS IDM library.
Integrate C++ components using Android NDK/JNI for device checks and attestation.
Implement certificate-based backend communication and secure payment flows.
Ensure PCI DSS compliance requirements are addressed in SDK development.
Manage SDK packaging, versioning, testing, CI/CD, and releases.




Support merchant integrations and troubleshoot technical issues.
Required Skills
5–8 years of native Android development experience with robust Kotlin and Java skills.
Hands-on experience developing and distributing Android SDKs for third-party integrations.
Mandatory: Practical Android HCE (Host Card Emulation) experience.
Experience with payment security, EMV 3DS2, tokenisation, and PCI DSS.
Knowledge of C++, Android NDK/JNI, certificate pinning, and device attestation.
Experience with JUnit, Espresso/Robolectric, Gradle, and CI/CD.

Valuable to Have
Experience with girocard, EKS IDM, NFC payments, and scheme certification.
Knowledge of Android Keystore, hardware-backed security, and Google Pay.
Experience with Java-to-Kotlin migration and merchant SDK support.
