Assistant Manager – Key Accounts

Location: Ranchi

Reports to: Regional Manager, Key Account

Role Summary

Drives revenue growth across assigned key accounts by developing and executing business plans, sales strategies, and profit targets while coordinating cross‑functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
Develop overall business plan for key accounts, including sales strategy, budgeting, profit goals and market segmentation.
Lead the end‑to‑end sales cycle: prospecting, demos, proposal preparation, negotiation, closing, and post‑sale services
Manage daily sales pipeline calls, weekly huddles and monthly performance reviews to keep targets on track.
Conduct market research, identify new business opportunities and implement national sales plans for product portfolios
Handle inbound inquiries via website chats, email, and calls, providing technical knowledge and consultative solutions.
Prepare detailed sales reports, forecast trends, and analyse data to drive continuous improvement of sales processes.
Set individual targets and monitor KPI achievement.




Maintain robust relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients to enable cross‑selling and upsell opportunities.

Required Skills & Experience
3‑6 years of experience in business development, key‑account management and project sales
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and profit margins.
Robust negotiation skills and ability to close complex deals.
Technical aptitude to understand product specifications and articulate value propositions.
Excellent communication, presentation and PR skills; comfortable conducting demos and webinars.
Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field.
Ability to work in a fast‑changing environment and adapt sales tactics accordingly.
