Job Profile
Conduct laboratory-based research and experiments in accordance with the objectives of the DBT-funded project.rn- Perform microbiological studies, including microbial isolation, cultivation, maintenance, characterization, and other relevant laboratory investigations.rn- Undertake analytical studies and sample analysis using instruments such as Gas Chromatography (GC) and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).rn- Perform basic molecular biology techniques relevant to the project requirements.rn- Collect, organize, analyse, and interpret experimental data, and prepare technical reports and research documentation.rn- Maintain laboratory records, experimental protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).rn- Ensure proper handling of laboratory equipment, chemicals, microbial cultures, and biological samples in accordance with laboratory safety protocols.rn- Assist in troubleshooting experimental procedures and optimizing laboratory protocols, as required.rn- Contribute to the preparation of research reports, presentations, manuscripts,



and other project-related deliverables.rn- Coordinate with project team members and support the timely completion of project activities and milestones.rn- Undertake any other project-related responsibilities assigned by the Principal Investigator (PI).

Experience
Years

Qualification
Ph.D. in Microbiology from a recognized university or institution.

Skills
Microbiology: Microbial isolation- cultivation- characterization- aseptic techniques- and media preparation.
Analytical Techniques: Working knowledge of GC- HPLC- sample preparation- and data interpretation.
Molecular Biology: Basic techniques- including DNA extraction- PCR- and gel electrophoresis.
Data Analysis & Documentation: Experimental data analysis- laboratory record maintenance- and research report preparation.
