About the Role
A recent bamboo fibre manufacturing unit is being established in Kerala, supported under the National Bamboo Mission. We're looking for an experienced plant skilled to lead machinery selection and commissioning for the current facility, then take charge of day-to-day operations once it's running.

Key Responsibilities
Evaluate, shortlist, and recommend machinery for mechanical bamboo fiber extraction and processing (decorticating, fiber separation, carding/opening lines) suited to project scale and budget
Lead plant layout planning, equipment installation, and commissioning
Manage ongoing operations: production scheduling, manpower, quality control, and yield optimization
Build and manage relationships with bamboo raw material suppliers and farmer clusters
Ensure the plant meets relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards
Support technical documentation for government scheme compliance (National Bamboo Mission / Kerala State Bamboo Mission)

Candidate Requirements
Hands-on experience setting up and/or running a bamboo fiber processing plant (mechanical/decortication process); experience with closely related natural fibers (coir, sisal, jute)

Working knowledge of fiber extraction/processing machinery, including vendor evaluation and commissioning
Experience in production planning, quality control, and yield management in a fiber or textile manufacturing setting
[X]+ years of relevant plant/production experience
Based in or willing to relocate within Kerala

Preferred
Experience specifically with bamboo (rather than only other natural fibers)
Familiarity with Kerala's bamboo supply chain and farmer cluster networks
Experience with government-subsidized industrial project setups (District Industries Centre / state industries processes)

Compensation: Rs.50,000.00/month to start, will increase to Rs.75,000/month once the factory is up and running. After 6 months of factory operations, will increase to Rs.1,00,000/month
