Job Description: Output Coordinator – Bangla Digital

Location: Kolkata, West Bengal
Experience: Relevant experience in digital media/newsroom operations
Reporting To: Bangla Head – Editorial (Digital)

Role Overview

Coordinate news and multimedia inputs from ground reporters across all 23 districts of West Bengal and Kolkata Head Office, ensuring timely delivery to the content, video, and social media teams.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily with ground reporters to collect news, photographs, videos, interviews, and breaking-news inputs.
Plan coverage with reporters in line with editorial priorities and ensure timely submission of assigned stories.
Prioritise and distribute news inputs to the relevant content, video, and social media teams.
Coordinate video footage, ground reports, reels, and other multimedia requirements with reporters and production teams.
Monitor breaking news, regional developments, pending assignments, and coverage gaps across West Bengal.
Maintain daily trackers of news inputs, assignments, and delivery status,



escalating delays or urgent requirements.
Ensure balanced district-level coverage and smooth coordination between field reporters and the central newsroom.

Candidate Profile
Graduate/postgraduate in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field preferred.
Relevant experience in digital media, editorial coordination, or news operations.
Excellent command of written and spoken Bengali.
Robust geographical knowledge of West Bengal, including its 23 districts and major towns.
Positive understanding of digital journalism, multimedia content, and newsroom workflows.
Robust coordination, communication, and follow-up skills; ability to work under tight deadlines.

Key Performance Indicators

Timely news delivery, effective coordination with reporters, responsiveness to breaking news, balanced district coverage, and efficient handover of inputs to the respective teams.
