Risk Manager – Commodity Trading (Quantitative)

Location- Lower Parel, Mumbai

Shift: Night shift, 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Reports to: VP – Operations Experience: 8+ years (minimum 5 years in commodity trading risk)

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Risk Manager to oversee market risk for our commodity trading book during the evening shift. The role is quantitative: you will build and run the models that measure risk across energy, metals and agricultural products, and work closely with traders, operations and middle-office teams as the independent risk voice.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor positions, P&L; and exposures across futures, swaps, options and physical books.
Calculate VaR, stress tests and Greeks; track limits and escalate breaches.
Build, back-test and validate risk and pricing models; automate reports with Python and SQL.
Assess counterparty exposure, margin and liquidity with credit and treasury teams.




Produce daily risk reports and a transparent shift handover.
Support new product approvals and act as first escalation point for risk incidents.

Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or a related field.
8+ years in risk management with deep commodity market experience (power, gas, oil, metals, agriculture).
Strong knowledge of derivatives pricing, time-series analysis and Monte Carlo simulation.
Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with trading and risk systems (e.g., Endur, Murex).
Ability to challenge traders and explain risk in straightforward terms.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
