Role Description The Continental Chef will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting continental dishes to established standards, ensuring taste, quality, and portion consistency. Daily tasks include planning and organizing the kitchen mise en place, following recipes, monitoring cooking processes, and managing food storage and rotation for freshness and safety. The chef will collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain hygiene, comply with food safety regulations, and keep workstations clean and organized.



Additional responsibilities include assisting in menu development, controlling wastage, coordinating with service staff during busy hours, and supporting inventory checks. This is a full-time, in office role based at Bean Town Cafe in Navi Mumbai.
Qualifications
Robust skills in continental cuisine preparation, cooking techniques, and plating.
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen sanitation practices.
Ability to manage kitchen operations, including mise en place, time management, and coordination during peak hours.
Experience in menu planning, portion control, and basic food cost awareness.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively in a team-oriented kitchen setting.
Prior experience as a Continental Chef or in a similar role in cafés, restaurants, or hotels.
Culinary certification or formal training in culinary arts is preferred but not mandatory.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as per cafe requirements.
