Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Medical Biller role based in Vellore. The Medical Biller will be responsible for preparing, submitting, and tracking medical claims to insurance providers, including Medicare, while ensuring adherence to current billing regulations and guidelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include verifying patient insurance coverage, entering accurate billing information, applying appropriate ICD-10 codes, reviewing and resolving claim denials, and following up on outstanding balances. The role requires regular communication with healthcare providers, insurance representatives, and internal teams to clarify documentation, correct errors, and support efficient revenue collection.



The Medical Biller will also maintain up-to-date records, support audits, and contribute to process improvements within the billing department.
Qualifications

Solid understanding of Medical Terminology to interpret clinical documentation and support accurate billing.
Hands-on experience managing Denials, including reviewing, analyzing, and resolving rejected or underpaid claims.
Working knowledge of ICD-10 coding standards and guidelines, with the ability to apply appropriate codes to diagnoses and procedures.
Familiarity with Insurance processes and Medicare billing rules, including eligibility verification and payer-specific requirements.
Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and proficiency with medical billing software and basic office applications.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with clinical teams, insurance representatives, and patients in a professional manner.
Ability to work on-site in Vellore, manage time efficiently, and handle sensitive information in line with confidentiality and compliance standards.
Preferred: Prior experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management and relevant coursework on healthcare administration, billing.
