Role Description This is a contract, hybrid role for a Freelance Journalist based in Delhi, India, with flexibility for some work-from-home assignments. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching and pitching story ideas, conducting interviews, and producing clear, accurate news articles and features aligned with editorial guidelines. The role involves covering events on the ground when required, preparing press releases or media notes, and collaborating with editors to refine stories. Depending on project needs, the journalist may support basic broadcasting or multimedia content,



ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.

Qualifications
Candidates should possess solid Writing and News Writing skills for transparent, engaging, and accurate reporting.
Candidates should possess solid Research skills to gather, verify, and analyze information from diverse sources.
Candidates should possess the ability to create Press Releases that effectively communicate key messages to media and stakeholders.
Candidates should possess foundational Broadcasting skills for participation in audio, video, or digital segments when needed.
Candidates should have excellent command of English; proficiency in Hindi or other regional languages is an advantage.
Candidates should demonstrate strong ethical judgment, attention to detail, and fact-checking discipline.
Candidates should be comfortable working independently, meeting deadlines, and reporting from the field in Delhi and surrounding areas.
A bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field, or equivalent qualified experience, is preferred.
