Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our GMIT-Prime team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and maintenance of our Prime services, which include a suite of applications catering to different streams like Cash, Synthetics, Trade Processing, Margin, and Financing. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to bridge the gap between junior team members' knowledge and application needs.

Job Responsibilities
Application development (UI + Backend), support, enhancements, bug-fixing, and mentoring
Demonstrating good understanding of the functional aspects of the application
Reporting progress to the Project Manager
Escalating problems to local management and suggesting solutions
Ensuring that project and organization standards are followed during various phases of software development life-cycle and day-to-day development work
Maintaining administration tasks, such as Jira and Wiki
Meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results

Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
Strong technical skills in Java, Spring, SQL, Hibernate,



and Angular
Experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Sonar, and BitBucket
Knowledge of Rest API, Kafka, and MQ
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to collaborate, deliver results, and pay attention to detail
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills

Positive to Have Skills and Experience
Experience with Python, Redis, or Oracle Coherence
Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and agile development methodologies
Previous experience in a similar role or industry
Strong understanding of financial markets and instruments
