Role Description The Freight Forwarding - Sales Manager is a full-time, in office role based in Mumbai. This role is responsible for developing recent business in freight forwarding and transportation, managing existing accounts, and achieving revenue and margin targets. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and qualifying prospective customers, preparing and presenting proposals, negotiating rates and terms, and coordinating closely with operations teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments. The Sales Manager will monitor market trends, maintain an accurate sales pipeline, and provide regular reports and forecasts to leadership.



The role also involves delivering high-quality customer service, resolving issues promptly, and representing Transcon at client meetings and industry events.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Freight Forwarding and Forwarding, with a solid understanding of international logistics and trade practices.
Candidates should possess skills in Freight Transportation and Export, including familiarity with modes of transport, documentation, and compliance.
Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and address service issues effectively.
Proven experience in sales or business development within the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Comfort with using CRM tools and standard office software for reporting and pipeline management.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of global shipping routes, pricing structures, and industry regulations will be beneficial.
