About Sipa’s Cafe

Sipa’s Cafe, located next to Zostel Vilpatti in the beautiful hills of Kodaikanal, is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and service-oriented Barista to join our team. We’re looking for someone who enjoys preparing great coffee, interacting with guests from across the world, and creating a warm and welcoming café experience.

Job Responsibilities
Prepare and serve coffee, tea, espresso-based beverages, and other café drinks to a consistent standard.
Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other café equipment.
Take customer orders, handle billing, and process payments accurately.
Welcome guests with a friendly attitude and provide excellent customer service.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards at the coffee station and café.
Assist with basic café operations, including restocking ingredients, monitoring supplies, and checking inventory.
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth order preparation and timely service.
Recommend beverages and menu items to guests and help create a positive café atmosphere.




Follow café operating procedures and ensure orders are accepted and handled efficiently during operating hours.

Requirements
Previous experience as a barista or in a café, restaurant, or hospitality role is preferred.
Knowledge of espresso preparation, milk steaming, and basic latte art is an advantage.
A passion for coffee, beverages, and customer service.
Good communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude.
Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment and handle multiple orders.
Strong attention to cleanliness, quality, and detail.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
A responsible, punctual, and team-oriented approach.
