Job Summary

H.S. Oberoi Spirits is looking for a knowledgeable and passionate Sommelier with 3–4 years of relevant experience in wine, spirits, and beverage service. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of wines, premium spirits, tasting profiles, food and beverage pairings, and customer service. The role involves assisting customers in selecting beverages, enhancing their overall experience, maintaining beverage standards, and supporting sales of premium wines and spirits.

Key Responsibilities
Provide expert recommendations on wines, whiskies, premium spirits, and other beverages based on customer preferences.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of wine varieties, grape types, regions, vintages, tasting notes, and food pairings.
Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of premium and luxury spirits, including whisky, gin, rum, vodka, tequila, cognac, and other alcoholic beverages.
Conduct wine and spirit tastings, product presentations, and guided tasting sessions for customers and clients.
Educate customers on beverage characteristics, production methods, brands, and serving techniques.




Maintain proper storage, handling, inventory, and presentation of wines and spirits.
Assist in curating beverage selections and recommending suitable products for different occasions and customer requirements.
Support beverage sales through effective product knowledge, upselling, and cross-selling techniques.

Required Qualifications & Skills
3–4 years of experience as a Sommelier, Beverage Specialist, Wine Consultant, or in a similar role.
Formal certification in wine or spirits, such as WSET or an equivalent qualification, will be an advantage.
Robust knowledge of wines, premium spirits, tasting techniques, and food and beverage pairings.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Robust customer service orientation with the ability to understand and fulfil customer preferences.
Positive sales, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
