Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced AP-DRG Medical Coder specializing in Pediatrics with a strong understanding of medical coding guidelines, clinical documentation, and reimbursement methodologies. The ideal candidate should possess a recognized Medical Coding Certification and have hands-on experience in AP-DRG coding.

Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze pediatric medical records for accurate code assignment.
Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and DRG codes as per coding

guidelines.
Ensure compliance with AP-DRG coding standards and payer requirements.
Maintain coding accuracy, productivity, and quality targets.
Identify documentation gaps and work with internal teams for clarification.
Stay updated on coding regulations and industry best practices.

Requirements




3+ years of experience in AP-DRG Medical Coding with a focus on Pediatrics.
Robust knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, DRG, and reimbursement

methodologies.
Experience reviewing and coding pediatric inpatient records.
Excellent analytical and attention-to-detail skills.

Mandatory Certification
CPC (Certified Professional Coder) / CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) / CIC

(Certified Inpatient Coder) or equivalent recognized Medical Coding Certification.

Preferred Skills
Strong understanding of pediatric diagnoses and procedures.
Valuable communication skills.
Ability to meet quality and productivity benchmarks.

Note: Medical Coding Certification is mandatory. Candidates must have relevant AP-DRG

Pediatric coding experience.
